Coronavirus Booking Guidelines

Carers & Companions will remain open for business with a reduced amount office staff working both from home and also at the office to ensure we can continue to provide services to those who need it most.

Our Carers have been provided with a link to the Govt COVID-19 Training portal and have undertaken the training.

If you are a Carer who wishes to undergo the training please click HERE.

If you would like to continue to use Carers & Companions and require our services, both the client and the booked Carer will be required (PRIOR TO EACH SHIFT) to honestly and with full disclosure, answer YES to ALL of the below.

I undertake the following PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Reduce personal contact to your OWN direct family, the client you work for and essential services ONLY

  • Wash hands at the beginning, end and often throughout the booked shift with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds. Dry with paper towel or hand dryer
  • Try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • Social distancing

  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don’t have a tissue cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow.
  • Using alcohol-based hand sanitiser with over 60 per cent alcohol.

During booked shifts I agree to the following actions

Myself and anyone that I have close contact with will:

Continue to practice the above listed precautionary measures at all times
Remain in either my home or the allocated family home for work purposes, practicing full self isolation where practical
Avoid all activities where precautionary measures would be challenging

Myself and anyone that I have had close contact with: 

  • have not been diagnosed with the coronavirus
  • have not been identified as a suspected case and are awaiting results
  • have not been in contact with anyone who has a confirmed case of coronavirus
  • have not been in contact with anyone who has been identified as a suspected case and are awaiting results
  • have not internationally traveled within the last 2 weeks
  • does not have any of the following symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath or other early symptoms
  • have been following the above precautionary measures

If you have answered yes to the above, you are permitted to proceed with the booked shift, however if you do not feel comfortable, please urgently and without delay contact us at Carers & Companions to discuss.
